The books getting checked off my list to read this week are:
Sisterhood Everlasting: I’ve heard this book is sad and that usually makes me run away from a book or movie because I really dislike feeling unhappy… well I bet msot people do too but I don’t read or watch movies to cry or walk out sad, so this one is going to be a stretch for me. But I’ve read the first three books and so I want to close out the series.
The Boy who Harnessed the Wind: I have had this book on my bookshelf for a year or two actually. It was one of those that I had heard of during my time in the international studies realm at A&M and I went and bought it when it was on sale but I never read it. I usually read fiction and I have this notion that non-fiction would just bore me but I want to make myself branch out and I figure an inspiring non fiction book is a pretty good place to start.
I hope some people are joining in on this, even if it’s only to read one a week or to write some titles down to read later! Last week I proposed perhaps starting an ‘actual’ book club in the fall if there was enough interest and I’ve gotten some emails from people saying they would be game for that so I will start thinking about books to put on that list. Any ideas? Let me know!
