10,000 Lakes but I only need 1

This year it was my grandfather’s 80th birthday so we made the trek up to Minnesota to celebrate with him! My mom and her siblings had tons of secret things planned for my grandpa throughout the week which was exciting to hear how they had surprised him! We had a huge family dinner at a great restaurant in Frazee, where I ate bison in December

My cousin was in the Pine to Palm golf tournament which is an amateur golf tournament in Detroit Lakes that college golf scouts frequent to scout out some new talent! He’s only a senior in high school this year and was holding his own against seniors in college so we are all so incredibly proud of him!

Despite both rain and temperatures dropping for two days of our trip we got to spend a day at the lake tubing and riding jet skis! It was incredibly relaxing to sit by the lake and just chat with family that I don’t get to see often! Then of course the obligatory trip to Zorbaz!

Of course I shopped the Lilly sale yesterday morning, I was up before my grandpa which never happens, to get signed on! I had a coffee date with my grandma which was just her and I that I loved!

It was a fantastic long weekend and as I was leaving I kinda missed living in Minnesota and being able to drive up to Detroit Lakes on the weekends when I wanted to. Minnesota works it’s way into your heart… until it claims multiple limbs in the winter that is!
