I like Free Books and I cannot lie

A couple months ago I found about the new website that not only feeds my book obsession but also my need to save money. I thought those things were diametrically opposed but thanks to BookBub that is not true!

With BookBub you enter your preferences in books (ie Historical Fiction, Romance, Christian, Fantasy) and each day they send you an email with Books that fall into your categories that are on sale. When I say on sale I mean books that are usually $15 are $1 or FREE. In the past month I’ve download seven new books for FREE.

Gratis.

Nada.

Zip.

Zamboni. (oh wait that’s a hockey thing…)

They are all ebooks, so you need to have some sort of eReader. If you don’t own a Nook or a Kindle or iBooks then you can download the app on your smart phone and it works the same!

While we’re on the subject of Books being one of the most important things in the entire world, you should join The Duchess’ Book Club. We had to take a break when the Bar took over my life but we are starting back up again!

We’re starting Charleston today and finishing it right on Valentine’s Day.

Personal thoughts on BookBub: I think it is sometimes a marketing tool as a few of the books don’t have very many reviews on goodreads or amazon and they are in a series so I’m assuming that they want you to get hooked and then go on to buy the rest of the series at full price but hey IT’S A FREE BOOK so I could care less!

So to recap:
1. Bookbub = FREE BOOKS or severely discounted books (and you don’t pay them ANYTHING)
2. The Duchess’ Book Club, sign up, join us, love it.

Was I given anything for this post? Nope, I look at it as more of public service announcement, I mean, FREE BOOKS, people!
